Club Policy
Effective Date: February 1, 2026
1. About Clubs
A Club is a space on clsr where people gather around a shared interest to post, chat, and organize activities. This Club Policy explains the rules for creating, owning, joining, and participating in Clubs. It supplements and is part of our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
By creating or joining a Club, you agree to this Club Policy.
2. Creating a Club
- You must provide an accurate Club name, interest, and (optionally) description that reflect the Club’s actual purpose.
- Club names, descriptions, and images must comply with our content rules below—no offensive, misleading, or infringing names or imagery.
- You may not create Clubs to impersonate a person, brand, or organization without authorization.
- You may not create Clubs dedicated to prohibited topics (see Section 5).
3. Club Owner Responsibilities
When you create a Club, you become its owner and host. As an owner, you agree to:
- Set the tone: Keep your Club on-topic and aligned with the interest it was created for.
- Moderate actively: Review reports, remove content that violates this policy or our Terms, and remove members who repeatedly break the rules.
- Be accountable: Take reasonable steps to prevent your Club from being used for harassment, illegal activity, or objectionable content.
- Manage access responsibly: Approve or remove members fairly and only restrict members for legitimate reasons.
- Respond to enforcement: Cooperate with clsr if we contact you about activity in your Club.
4. Club Content and Conduct Rules
All Club content and behavior must follow the Acceptable Use rules in our Terms of Service. Within Clubs, you specifically must not:
- Post harassing, hateful, threatening, or abusive content toward members or others;
- Share sexually explicit material or anything that sexualizes or endangers minors;
- Promote violence, self-harm, illegal goods or services, or dangerous activities;
- Post spam, scams, or repetitive unsolicited promotion;
- Share content that infringes others’ intellectual property or privacy;
- Coordinate harassment, brigading, or targeting of any person or group.
5. Prohibited Clubs
You may not create or operate Clubs whose primary purpose is to:
- Promote hate, discrimination, or violence against people based on protected characteristics;
- Facilitate the exploitation or endangerment of minors;
- Sell or coordinate illegal goods, services, or activities;
- Spread malware, scams, or coordinated misinformation that causes real-world harm;
- Harass, dox, or target specific individuals.
6. Member Responsibilities
When you join a Club, you agree to:
- Follow this Club Policy, the Club owner’s reasonable rules, and our Terms of Service;
- Treat other members with respect;
- Report content or behavior that violates the rules;
- Accept that owners and moderators may remove your content or your membership for violations.
7. Reporting and Enforcement
- Any member can report Club content or other members using the in-app reporting tools.
- Club owners are expected to act on reports within their Clubs.
- clsr may independently review Clubs and take action, including removing content, removing members, removing owners, archiving or deleting Clubs, and terminating accounts.
- We aim to act on reports of objectionable content within 24 hours.
8. Privacy Within Clubs
- Public Clubs may be discoverable, and their content may be visible to people who join or browse them.
- Private Clubs limit visibility to approved members, but you should still only share what you’re comfortable sharing with the group.
- Do not share other members’ personal information outside the Club without their consent.
- Our handling of data in Clubs is described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Private Clubs and Premium
Some Club capabilities, such as creating private Clubs or exceeding free-tier Club limits, may require a Premium subscription. Premium does not exempt a Club or its owner from this policy or our Terms of Service.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Club Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will post the updated policy in the app, update the “Effective Date” above, and where appropriate ask Club owners to re-accept before continuing to operate a Club.
